RIGGING JOB OF THE YEAR
The Rigging Job of the Year Competition is
designed to honor and give special recognition to members that perform
outstanding achievements in solving problems encountered in rigging.
Winners are selected in three categories: under $150,000 (U.S.), between
$150,000-$750,000 (U.S.), and over $750,000 (U.S.). Details about Job of
the Year Winners appear in SC&RA's official magazine, American
Cranes & Transport and International Cranes and Specialized
Transport, as well as other publications serving the industry.

Over $750,000 - Fagioli SPA, S.
Ilario D'Enza, Italy
for a three-year project that
involved transporting, lifting and installing more than 400 modules of
various sizes (including 11 main modules and six tanks with weights up
to 4,000 tons) for the first offshore liquefied natural gas
regasification terminal in the world.
Between $150,000 and $750,000
- Process Group, Inc., Cambridge, Ontario Canada
for rigging and removing an
existing Ball mill 17 feet in diameter by 60 feet long, weight upwards
of 920,000 pounds from an operating cement plan.
Under $150,000 - Bechtel
Equipment Operations, Milwaukee, WI
for the installation of four
feed-water pumps at the Oak Creek Power Plant in Wisconsin, using an
alternative plan to hold down costs.
