Committees and Task Forces
SC&RA offers dozens of committees and task forces upon which you can serve. Getting involved in one of these groups will give you an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the industry and sharpen your overall leadership skills. Plus you'll be shaping the direction of your Association's programs and policies. Members who are interested in joining a committee are encouraged to attend a meeting during the Annual Conference. Most meetings are open to all members.
The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Association and establishes policy. There are four groups and several committees that report to the Board. They track industry trends, recommend policies and provide direction on Association programs and services.
The four groups consist of the Allied Industries Group, the Crane & Rigging Group, the Ladies Group and the Transportation Group. Each group has a Governing Committee comprised of elected members from their respective industry sector. The Governing Committees are charged with identifying issues and recommending actions to benefit members of SC&RA as well as govern the actions of the committees within their respective groups. All Board members and Committee members are volunteers from SC&RA member companies and bring to the table valuable knowledge of the industry, information on how regulatory decisions will impact member companies and the current issues members are facing.
Following are some of the committees:
Allied Industries Group The sponsorships help SC&RA offer more at their meetings. Their generous support helps to bring in top-notch speakers, provide giveaways, and host many networking opportunities to SC&RA members.
Crane & Rigging Group
