New OSHA Email List for Recordkeeping and Injury Log Reminders

- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established a new email notification system to provide reminders and updates on recordkeeping as well as a new requirement that requires electronic submission of injury and illness logs.

The new electronic submission requirement, aimed at increasing workplace safety by adding another layer of accountability for employers, officially went into effect on January 1, 2017. This year’s submission deadline is July 1, 2017. OSHA, however, is not accepting electronic submissions at this time, but will notify employers who register for the email list when and how to provide electronic submissions.
