OSHA to Launch Injury Tracking Application

- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is scheduled to launch their Injury Tracking Application (ITA), a portal for mandatory electronic submissions of injury and illness data, on August 1, 2017.

The new rule has faced some criticism, and, last month, OSHA extended the deadline for submitting the 2016 Form 300A to December 1, 2017, in order for the new Trump administration to review the ITA and to provide employers time to familiarize themselves with the process.

The application and submission information will be available on the ITA webpage along with information on reporting requirements, a list of frequently asked questions, and a link to request assistance. Find the ITA web page here.
