Clint Anderson Named SC&RA Driver of the Year
- Clint Anderson, of Barnhart Crane & Rigging, Memphis, Tennessee, has been named the 2016 Driver of the Year by the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA). Anderson was recognized for his achievement during SC&RA’s Specialized Transportation Symposium, held February 14-17, at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, Florida.
Anderson holds the distinction of having pulled Barnhart’s heaviest-ever load, which weighed over 1.5 million pounds. He also completed the company’s first cross-country dual-lane transport and first 28-dolly transport. Additionally, Anderson has been the lead driver on two different projects that were awarded SC&RA’s Hauling Job of the Year. His accomplishments are underscored by his steadfast commitment to safety, as illustrated by his 17 consecutive years without an accident.
The Association is accepting nominations for the next SC&RA Driver of the Year until March 7, 2017. A driver may be nominated for a long record of safe and courteous driving, demonstrated leadership among peers, and outstanding contributions to highway safety.
