We fully appreciate how hard our members work to lift and move the world. Which is why we, in turn, work hard for them. In the pursuit of improved safety, efficiency, productivity and profitability for member companies in the specialized transportation, crane and rigging industry, SC&RA successfully advocates on the industry’s behalf to worldwide governing bodies and policy makers as well as state & local officials.

SC&RA member companies are currently benefiting from exemptions in regulation, improvements in state and local permitting and issue representation as a direct result of the Association’s advocacy efforts.

With member input, SC&RA articulates the impact of Federal rulings and policies – such as barriers or obstacles to safe business practices. Together with members, SC&RA drives advancements in regulatory changes, fair standards, equitable policies and directives that positively impact the industry.

SC&RA works through a variety of advocacy and educational channels with state governments to promote safety, efficiency, productivity and profitability. Members directly benefit from our efforts to forge positive changes in areas like permit harmonization and viable standards for crane and rigging operations.

More than 1,400 member companies from 46 nations around the globe make up SC&RA, and each one of these companies utilize their membership in multiple ways in order to educate themselves, protect their business, partner with industry peers and maximize profitability.
