Environmental Forum Prepares Members for Major Policy Proposals

As more governments around the US and globe seek long-term environmental efficiency and infrastructure resilience, SC&RA members are preparing themselves for what these major policy proposals and changes may mean for their industries. To begin addressing these questions, SC&RA convened a 1-day environmental forum at SC&RA headquarters, featuring Allen Schaefer of the Diesel Technology Forum, Spo Spoljaric of Bechtel, and Jeffrey Short of ATRI. These subject matter experts have previously engaged SC&RA on various environmental issues like clean diesel technologies, and the ways international shippers must account for their carbon offsets when procuring specialized transportation services. SC&RA will continue to monitor and address climate and resilience issues moving forward with regular updates and reports at its respective Governing Committee meetings.
