The 2020 conference schedule features a range of impactful educational sessions including:
-
Insurance and Risk-Management Panel Session – Representing the 2020 Tip-Off and presented by SC&RA’s new property & casualty insurance program’s Endorsed Market Partners, this session features two talk tracks, both moderated by Scott Bragg, of Bragg Companies. “Current Priorities in the Tower Crane Sector” will be presented by Bill Smith, of NBIS, and Peter Juhren, of Morrow Equipment Company LLC. And “The Pros & Cons of Risk Financing Techniques” will be presented by Dan Keenan and Shawn Los, of National Interstate Insurance Company.
- 5 Steps to Make the Impossible Possible – Ben Nemtin will deliver the Opening Session, which expounds on the notion that articulating and prioritizing one’s personal goals is not a selfish act, but one that creates a positive ripple effect that inspires others to live their best life.
- How to Stand Up to Any Challenge – Scott Burrows will tackle the realm of possibilities with this presentation – using his physical paralysis as a visual metaphor to reveal how to drive results using the same mental focus that helped him reinvent his life after a catastrophic accident left him paralyzed from the chest down. Burrows will show how three simple words can absolutely help people to conquer adversity and master change.
- Team Building: Build a Bike – During more than 20 years of international leadership, teambuilding and life skills development, trainer and facilitator Duane Grischow has consulted with hundreds of organizations. From these experiences, he developed this presentation, as well as started the original BIKE movement, which has now grown across the country as a way to teach team building while giving back to the community.
- Transforming Fear into Flow – Valerie Vigoda’s presentation is based partly on the heroic journey of Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton (the subject of her own hit Off-Broadway musical), and ultimately represents a story about facing fear for this award-winning six-string electric violinist and vocalist. Vigoda’s presentation will resonate with anyone who has ever felt insecurity and stagnation, inspiring participants to be their truest, most innovative and fearless selves.
Regular registration is $900 for members, $560 for spouses/guests or children over 18 and $485 for children. Regular non-member registration is $1,340 for registrants, $825 for spouses/guests or children over 18 and $720 for children. Discounted early-bird prices are available until January 24.
