SC&RA Announces New Property & Casualty Insurance Platform
(Centreville, VA - January 27, 2020) - The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) has introduced its new Property & Casualty Insurance Platform, comprised of two Endorsed Market Partners – NBIS (NationsBuilders Insurance Services, Inc.) and National Interstate Insurance Company – and four Preferred Producers: Allied Insurance Brokers, Inc., Emery & Karrigan, Inc., TrueNorth Companies and USI Insurance Services LLC.
“For the past twenty-three years, NBIS has been the exclusively endorsed property and casualty provider, and they have been and continue to be a great partner,” said SC&RA CEO Joel Dandrea. “This new platform is strengthened by addition, and as far as NBIS as the original partner is concerned, we fully expect them to continue to grow and improve as they have over the past twenty-three years.”
Dandrea noted that, over the last couple of years, the Association recognized a desire to open up additional options to members – from a standpoint of insurance, risk-management and educational offerings. “Based on input from members buying these products and services,” he added, “we felt it prudent to introduce additional players into the program.”
Scott Bragg, with SC&RA member company Bragg Companies, agreed. “It was time to reach out to everybody in the industry that’s been associated with SC&RA – just to broaden the platforms and make more options available to Association members.”
SC&RA is confident that the combination of the two endorsed markets and four preferred producers will bring more information, products and service, as well as a wealth of expertise to its membership.
“Everyone involved in this new platform is very good at listening to their customers and studying the markets” added Dandrea. “They’ve demonstrated a commitment to partner with the Association and contribute resources in a variety of ways.”
The two-year agreement will also allow SC&RA a chance to listen to its membership and evaluate along the way, while continuing to work on improvements for the ultimate good of buyers through the best possible coverage, terms, contracts, risk-management services and education.
