SC&RA ANNUAL CONFERENCE SET FOR AMELIA ISLAND, APRIL 20-24

Industry leaders convene for a week of insight, connection, and recognition

- CENTREVILLE, VA. – The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association will host its Annual Conference April 20-24 at the Omni Amelia Island in Amelia Island, Fla., drawing owners, CEOs, top managers and other industry leaders for education, committees, networking and celebration of excellence in specialized transportation, crane and rigging operations.

The weeklong event features a full agenda of educational sessions with top speakers, committee meetings, an Exhibit Center showcasing industry products and solutions, and extensive networking opportunities. Highlights include the Rigging and Hauling Job of the Year competitions, safety awards, activities and tours, and a fundraising gala. Social events encompass the President’s Reception, First-Timers’ Reception, Golf, Spouses Activity, and the International Members Reception culminating in the Annual Awards and Recognition Dinner on the final evening.

As the week unfolds, attendees will engage in discussions covering tort reform, the changing world of insurance, team building, equipment valuations and more, highlighted by two featured breakfast sessions sponsored by Link-Belt Cranes and Trail King Industries.

The conference will also mark the 40th anniversary of the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Foundation (SC&RF). On April 21 at 11:45 a.m., the SC&RF Workforce Committee will host an interactive session using a table-based “speed conversation” format to address real-world workforce challenges, share best practices and identify solutions to support productivity and industry growth.

“Each year, the Annual Conference provides a unique opportunity for our members to step away from the day-to-day and focus on the bigger picture,” said SC&RA CEO Joel Dandrea. “From regulatory developments to workforce challenges and emerging trends, the goal is to ensure attendees leave with meaningful insight, stronger connections and a clearer path forward.”

The SC&RA Annual Conference is the association’s flagship gathering, traditionally held in late April. It combines professional development with industry recognition, including awards for membership longevity, the Environmental Award, the President’s Award and the prestigious Hauling and Rigging Job of the Year honors in multiple categories.

Registration for the 2026 Annual Conference is open and details and registration are available at scranet.org/AC2026
