Association Sees Healthy Registration Rates for In-Person Meetings

- SC&RA is experiencing healthy registration numbers for two meetings that are open now for in-person attendance: the Specialized Transportation Symposium, June 22-24, in Birmingham, Ala., and the Annual Conference, October 25-29, in San Antonio, Texas. The Crane & Rigging Workshop will open for registration in June.

“We were committed to meeting in person this year based on member feedback and Board sentiment,” said SC&RA CEO Joel Dandrea. “With the COVID vaccine and easing restrictions in the states, we are heartened with the response we’ve received.”

In addition to favorable registration rates, there is great interest in exhibiting. “We have only 12 booths left for the Annual Conference and six for the Symposium,” Dandrea said. “And our registration numbers are extremely encouraging.”

Late last year, the Association developed SC&RA Safe® Protocol which is enhanced health and safety measures to provide meeting attendees increased confidence in their decision to participate in live SC&RA events. These measures are consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; state and local jurisdiction health guidelines; and hotel biosafety measures. Not all events will feature the same biosafety precautions as each city and jurisdiction is approaching COVID-19 measures differently.

“I’ve heard from a number of people that they are anxious to get back to networking with their industry contacts personally. We’ve planned our upcoming meetings to facilitate that in the safest way possible,” added Dandrea. To see upcoming meetings and register, click here.
