Discovery Channel’s Shark Week Star to Present at Annual Conference; Deadline Nearing

- Who better to speak about adapting and overcoming challenges than Paul de Gelder. As an Australian Navy bomb disposal diver, his life would be changed forever when a 9 ft bull shark took two of his limbs in an attack in 2009. His journey of discovery and triumph is one you can relate to. It encapsulates aspects of your private and professional life, as well as your emotional strength and wellbeing, to make you understand how much you are truly capable of. De Gelder has travelled the world as a passionate environmentalist, adventurer, and mentor to school kids. He has hosted 16 documentaries for Discovery Channel’s Shark Week where he learned to hand feed bull sharks, hammerheads, blue sharks, dive with tiger sharks, and even great whites without the protection of a cage. The presentation is sponsored by Lifting Gear Hire, Lift Systems, Inc., and Riggers Manufacturing Company. To register for the Annual Conference, visit www.scranet.org/AC2021. Prices increase after July 23 so register today. For more information, contact Melanie Khoury.
