Minnesota DOT Updates State Multimodal Transportation Plan; Jungels to Address at Symposium

(February 01,2023) -Last week, The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced it has updated its Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan (SMTP) for 2022-2041. The SMTP is updated every five years and is the highest policy plan for transportation in Minnesota. Joanna Jungels, SC&RA Permit Policy Chair, serves on Minnesota’s State Freight Advisory Committee and will be leading a session on permitting at the Specialized Transportation Symposium, February 28-March 2. One of SC&RA’s priorities is to involve members in State Freight Advisory Committees across the country so that specialized transportation is at the table to ensure that our industry is represented and advocated for in these forums.
