North America’s Tower Crane Companies Gather at TCNA

-Last week, tower crane companies came together in Nashville for the Tower Cranes North America conference, organized by KHL with SC&RA as exclusive event partner. The biennial event focused on the operational, engineering, safety, legal, and market issues shaping tower crane work across the region. The agenda highlighted the topics operators and owners are dealing with now: wind and storm preparedness, lift planning, technology and innovation, legal risk management, construction activity, and industry regulation. SC&RA CEO Joel Dandrea welcomed attendees and gave a brief update on tariffs and SC&RA’s ongoing advocacy efforts to get tower cranes and crawlers included in tariff reductions. For SC&RA members, the conference served as both an industry pulse check and a reminder of the association’s active engagement in tower crane safety, regulation, technology, and operational best practices. To hear the latest on this growing segment of the industry, plan to attend the SC&RA Tower Crane Committee Meeting in Omaha, Neb., Sept. 22, as part of the Crane & Rigging Workshop.
