Pick Your Track: Symposium Offers Safety & Operational Tracks

- In addition to the state and regional meetings offering access to officials from across the country, the Specialized Transportation Symposium, February 22-24 in Glendale, Ariz., is breaking its tracks into safety and operational topics. “While OS/OW is a niche area, we recognize that companies need access to the latest best practices,” said Chris Smith, SC&RA Vice President of Transportation. “Tracks give attendees the best opportunity to get their teams up-to-speed and keyed in on the topics that are most pressing today.” Some safety topics include: Strategies to Mitigate Liability for Damaged Cargo; How to Think Like an Insurance Company; Getting Rest from Things that Keep You Up at Night; and Emerging Size/Weight Technologies. Operational topics include: Pre-Trip Meetings for the OS/OW Team; Integrating Permit Harmonization and Freight Planning; Grassroots Advocacy; and Dual Perspectives in Enforcing Permit Violations.
