SC&RA Active in Massachusetts Policy Efforts

- As part of SC&RA’s strategic advocacy efforts for 2022-23, the permit policy and transportation governing groups identified five priority states to target over the next year, including Massachusetts. The two key issues there include increasing the state’s superload level from its current 130,000 lbs., GVW and supporting the Coalition for Rolling Stock Tax Repeal led by the Trucking Association of Massachusetts (TAM). While the tax repeal effort unfortunately did not make it into final economic development and budget proposals last week, SC&RA will continue to pursue both issues over the next year.  For more information, contact SC&RA Vice President of Transportation Chris Smith
