SC&RA Task Force Meets to Discuss Tower Crane Procedures

-The SC&RA Tower Crane Assembly/Disassembly Procedures Task Force, chaired by JR Moran, B&G Equipment & Supply, met at SC&RA headquarters last week. The Task Force is developing industry best practices for tower crane assembly, disassembly and climbing. Additional topics under consideration include pre-planning and reconfigurations. The following individuals from member companies are volunteering their time and expertise on this effort: Sam Moyer, ALL Tower Crane LLC; Steve Crawford; Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc.; Henry Volante, Blue Hat Crane & Equip.; Joe Patton, Linden Comansa America; Matt Finnerty, Finco Services Inc.; Mathieu Chaudanson, Howard I. Shapiro Associates Consulting; David Brown, IUOE Local 14-14b; Walter White, Leavitt Cranes USA, Inc.; Daiane Quinlan, The Manitowoc Company, Inc.; Dan Durrett, Maxim Crane Works, L.P.; Jon Alberson, Means & Methods Engineering; Mike Heacock, Morrow Equipment Company, LLC;  Brian Burres, Uperio USA; and John Gangi, Wolffkran.
