Time Running Out for Rebuttal Comments on 232 Investigation into Import of Mobile Cranes

- Seventy-four companies submitted comments in response to the U.S. Department of Commerce Section 232 investigation on whether mobile crane imports into the U.S. threaten national security. To view the public comments, click here. The rebuttal period ends August 10 and is the last chance to provide documents and input to the Department of Commerce. If you have not submitted a letter or comment you can still do so in the form of a rebuttal to the items that were already submitted. A Section 232 investigation authorizes the Department of Commerce to conduct investigations to determine the effects on national security of imports of certain goods. SC&RA’s comments supported free and fair trade, insisting that members need options in their ability to source and provide cranes to their customers that will meet job requirements.
