Top 3 Things to Be Thankful for This Season

-As the Thanksgiving holiday is upon us in the U.S., there are several things to be thankful for as a crane, rigging and specialized transport company. Here’s our top three:
  1. 30 Minute Rest Break Provisionally Renewed – With the provisional renewal secured in June, the Association takes nothing for granted but expects FMCSA to renew the full 5-year in December. This keeps work moving safely and efficiently.
  2. Permitting Progress – There were several permitting wins this year, specifically in Florida, Maryland, and North Dakota, but California moving towards a 24/7 auto-issue OS/OW permit system is major progress for the industry, too.
  3. New Fuel Savings Program – This year SC&RA introduced a new fuel savings program, BridgeHaul. In just a few months in, member companies have saved thousands of dollars on their gas and diesel. Get in on the savings, here.

The SC&RA Board of Directors and staff send our very best wishes for a happy Thanksgiving to all members. May the good things in life and industry be yours in this season, and with providence, in the coming year. The SC&RA office will be closed Thursday and Friday of this week to celebrate the U.S. holiday of Thanksgiving. Members can access information and products any time at http://www.scranet.org.
