UPT2021 Update: Wisconsin Launches New OS/OW Permit Automated Issuance System

- Wisconsin launched its new OS/OW Permit Automated Issuance System this month. The new system allows customers to issue single trip permit types; transfer permits to new trucks for certain permit types (no fee); amend existing permits; review routes for multiple trip permits; view and print permits; and maintain own user and account information.

Uniform Permit Transport 2021 (UPT2021) is an SC&RA initiative to establish harmonization between all 50 states by the end of 2021. Two of the primary goals for UPT2021 are to encourage all states to allow minimum weight thresholds, and to analyze and issue permits via automated permit systems, 24-7.
