OSHA Extends Comment Period for Proposed Rule to Ensure Crane Operators Are Qualified to Safely Operate Equipment

- The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has announced that it will extend the comment period on the proposed rule on crane operator certification. Comments will now be accepted through July 5, 2018. This extension allows stakeholders more time to review the proposed rule. Comments may be submitted electronically at https://www.regulations.gov/, the Federal e-Rulemaking Portal, or by facsimile or mail. See the Federal Register notice for submission details.
