Scholarships for Training New Hires and Upskilling Employees

-The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Foundation is offering over $110,000 in scholarships to support individuals pursuing or advancing careers in the crane, rigging, and specialized transportation industry. This includes more than $10,000 in Vocational/Technical (Vo/Tech) Scholarships and over $100,000 in Partner in Education (PIE) Scholarships. These opportunities are open to both newcomers and those already working in the industry. Applicants do not need to be employed by an SC&RA member company, and there is no income cap to apply. Award amounts range from $250 to $5,000 or more and may be used for training programs such as diesel mechanics, welding, bookkeeping, driver school, crane operator certification, marketing, and more. PIE scholarships may also cover airfare, hotel, and full tuition for selected courses. To apply, individuals must complete a brief application and submit one letter of recommendation. Funds are paid directly to the training provider, not to individuals or companies. If applying for a PIE course (ITI, CICB, NCCCO, Morrow, or ATS), be sure to indicate the school and course name. Applications are accepted year-round with deadlines falling on the last day of each month. Awards will be available until funds are depleted. To learn more click here.
