Scholarships Available for your Employees to Receive Training and Certification

(February 24, 2021) - Recently, several SC&RA members have asked, "Is my new employee eligible for a scholarship to take a continuing education course, like marketing?" or "I'm union but need to get re-certified, can I get a scholarship for a prep course?"  The answer to both questions is, yes!

The vocational/technical scholarship awards through the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Foundation, the SC&RA's non-profit arm, are available to SC&RA member company employees and their families. Companies large and small, union and non-union, are eligible and should encourage employees to seek a scholarship for training or certification courses.

Upcoming deadlines are February 28 and April 30. Applications are reviewed and recipients are announced following each deadline. For more information, visit www.scr-foundation.org or contact Jackie Roskos.
